Our portraits are primarily photographed on location — whether that’s in your home, a favourite outdoor space, or somewhere that holds special meaning to you and your family.

We can work with the existing surroundings and furniture in your home, or bring in our own professional lighting and background setup to create a more refined portrait. Before the shoot, we’ll take the time to understand the space, the people involved and the kind of images you have in mind, allowing us to plan the lighting, composition and flow of the session beforehand.

There’s also something special about photographing a family in their own environment. The space becomes part of the photograph — the home they have built, the chair Dad always sits in, the room where the children grew up, or a favourite corner that holds years of memories. These details can make a portrait feel much more personal and meaningful than a photograph taken in a generic studio.

On-location sessions are especially meaningful and practical for families with elderly members or those who may not be as mobile. There is no need to travel to a studio or worry about getting everyone settled into an unfamiliar environment.
